Petroleum Storage Chests are Compliant with: Highly Flammable and Liquid Petroleum Gases Regulations Part D, HS(G)S1-1990, COSHH chests are compliant for storage and segregation of hazardous materials.
Note: The Regulations state that 50Litres is the maximum volume of flammable liquid with a flash point below 32Deg. C that may be stored in flame-resistant storage located in a single workshop, regardless of cabinet storage capacity. Spare capacity may be used to store flammable substances with a flashpoint above 32Deg. C and other compatible hazardous materials falling within COSHH Regulations. Larger volumes may be stored outdoors in suitable secure enclosures and indoors in Fireproof Cabinets conforming to BS EN14470-1.
Hazardous Substance Storage Chests are not Fireproof and will give only minimal protection in the event of fire. All hazardous storage chests are intended to provide secure containments including leak and spill proof safety features to protect the environment, prevent pollution, prevent accidental contact with any sources of ignition and to identify the location of hazardous substances in the workplace in the event of an emergency.
